Does Passover blood save from wrath?
Passover blood spared Israelite homes; Christians compare it with salvation through Christ's blood.

Exod 12:13 · BSBThe blood on the houses where you are staying will be a sign; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will fall on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.

The claimed New Testament fulfilment
Paul says Christ's blood saves believers from God's wrath. Christians compare that rescue with the blood-marked houses spared during Passover.
But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from wrath through Him!
Why Christians see a prophecy
Exodus’s blood-marked homes are spared a divine plague. Romans 5:8 says Christ died for sinners, and its next verse says his blood saves believers from wrath. This gives Christians a substantive pattern of deliverance through blood.
Why it is less convincing
In Exodus, the blood marks households in Egypt during a specific firstborn plague; the text does not discuss forgiveness of sins or a future crucifixion. Romans 5 does not quote or name Passover here. The listed verse, 5:8, omits the blood-and-wrath language supplied by 5:9.

The rescue analogy can be meaningful Christian typology. It does not demonstrate that Exodus 12:13 prospectively predicted Christ's atoning death.
